Andrew Snyder is an experienced psychotherapist in private practice in Honolulu. He is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a substance abuse counselor providing treatment to individuals, couples and families. He earned his bachelor’s in Management at Saint Mary’s College of California and his master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Argosy University in Honolulu. Andrew positively believes in the power of transforming ones’ self—his resume reads retired peace officer, private investigator, counselor and therapist. He has appeared in numerous media outlets including The Atlantic, The Business Journals, Fox News, NPR’s Word of Mouth, CFA Institute Magazine, and Business Insider. A California native, Andrew has lived in Hawaii 20 years.

Marriage and Family Therapy is a distinct mental health discipline with a unique body of knowledge, research and clinical approaches.  Andrew was especially drawn to family systems therapy, which views people’s symptoms and challenges as interactional processes best understood within the larger family or couple context.  He is a highly effective and skilled clinician working with a wide range of conditions and challenges including depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, addiction, and grief and loss.
